Painter Hotline is a Colorado painting company and a trade name of Search Converts LLC. It runs separate crews for interior, exterior, kitchen cabinet, commercial, deck and fence, and specialty coating work across the Front Range, has more than 20 years of Colorado experience, carries insurance, uses Sherwin-Williams, PPG and Behr products, and backs its work with a written 5-year workmanship warranty.

How we think

Built around trades, not a single crew

Most small painting companies send the same few people to every kind of job. We split the work by trade because spraying a kitchen's worth of cabinet doors, prepping a sun-cooked west wall at 6,000 feet and repainting an office overnight have very little in common. Each crew does its own kind of work all week long.

Four habits we hold ourselves to

  • The prep is the job. Color is the easy part. Whether a coat lasts three years or eight is settled before the first finish coat is opened.
  • Bad news goes first. Rotten trim or failing siding shows up on the estimate, before you have paid for paint that would not have lasted.
  • Everything on paper. Each surface, its preparation, the product line and sheen, coats, schedule, payment terms and the warranty.
  • One phone number. The one you called to book is the one you call two years later.

People first, then profits

We put it in that order on purpose. When margin comes first, the wash gets skipped, the paint gets stretched and the estimate says "prep as needed." The house looks fine for a couple of seasons, and then the company stops getting referrals. We would rather earn the next call and your neighbor's.

When something goes wrong

On a long enough timeline every painter has a bad day: a board that was worse behind the paint than it looked, a color that reads differently on the wall, a storm that wipes out a week. We cannot promise those never happen. We can promise you will reach us, and that we will fix what is ours without an argument.

From call to walkthrough

How a project moves

  1. Photos or a call. Tell us what is bothering you and the year the building went up.
  2. The right crew lead looks at it. Exterior questions go to the exterior lead, cabinets to the cabinet lead.
  3. A written estimate, usually within a day. Repairs are counted one by one.
  4. Colors and approvals. Samples on your own surfaces, and HOA paperwork before the schedule is set.
  5. Protection and preparation. The part that decides how long it lasts.
  6. Finish coats applied within the product's temperature limits, with the site cleaned up each day.
  7. Your walkthrough. Anything you flag is fixed before final payment, and five years of written coverage starts.

Questions

About Painter Hotline

How long has Painter Hotline been painting in Colorado?

More than 20 years, almost all of it on the Front Range.

Is there a Colorado painting license?

No. Colorado has no statewide license for painters, so ask any painter for two documents instead: a certificate of insurance and a written scope. We provide both with every estimate.

Who stands behind the work?

We have great painters, and we 100% stand behind every job. The person who scoped your project owns how it turns out, and the work is backed by our industry-leading 5-year workmanship warranty, protecting you against anything we could have done better or that wasn't done right.

Which areas do you serve?

The Front Range from Castle Rock north to Longmont, east to Fort Morgan and west on I-70 through Summit County to Breckenridge.

Who is the legal business behind Painter Hotline?

Painter Hotline is a trade name of Search Converts LLC, a Colorado limited liability company.

Why separate crews for different kinds of work?

Cabinet spraying, exterior prep at altitude, after-hours commercial work and deck staining are different skills. People who do one of them every day get better at it than people who rotate through all of them.

How would you like your free estimate?

Both are free and the choice is yours. Older homes, rot and color matching often go better in person; straightforward rooms are usually quicker from photos.
