We get called out to fix other painters' work more than you would think. It is almost never the painting. It is one of four things that were skipped before the painting.

That order is not decoration. A painting company that optimizes for margin first starts skipping the wash, thinning the coats and quoting "prep as needed." It works for about two years.

Who are the best painters in Colorado?
Judge the paperwork, not the pitch. The best bid comes with proof of insurance, a scope that names every prep step, the product and sheen for each surface, the number of coats and a written warranty. Ours includes all five.
How much does painting cost?
On Angi’s 2026 Denver cost data: exteriors about $1.55 to $4.10 per square foot of paintable surface, interiors about $2 to $6 per square foot, and cabinet painting about $30 to $60 per linear foot. The state of the old paint moves the price more than the size of the house.
How fast can I get an estimate?

What areas do you serve?
Colorado's Front Range and the corridors out of it: the Denver metro, north to Longmont, south to Castle Rock, west along I-70 into Summit County, and east along I-70 to roughly Byers and Deer Trail. See every town we cover.
Are you insured?
Yes. You get the certificate with the estimate. Since Colorado has no statewide painting license, proof of insurance and a detailed written scope are what protect you.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
How we prepared and applied the paint. If that fails within five years, we come back and correct it at no charge. The paint maker warrants the product separately.
Can you fix another company's paint job?
Regularly. It is common enough that we have a page explaining how we assess whether a failed coating can be recoated or has to come off, and what that costs.
Do I need to be home while you paint?
Not for most exterior work, as long as gates are unlocked, pets are secured and the crew can reach an outdoor spigot and an outlet. For interiors, most people are around for the first morning and for the final walk-through.
How soon can I wash new paint or rehang pictures?
Most latex paint is dry to the touch within hours but keeps curing for weeks. Light use is fine soon after; hold off on scrubbing and heavy cleaning until the cure time listed on the product data sheet, and ask us for the number on your project.
What changes if my house was built before 1978?
It may have lead-based paint under newer coats. Paid work that disturbs more than 6 square feet of painted surface in a room, or more than 20 square feet outside, falls under the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting rule, which calls for a certified firm and lead-safe work practices. Tell us the year built when you ask for an estimate, and see what the rule requires.
Can you paint in winter?
Interior work, yes, because the building is heated. Exterior work depends on the coating's minimum application and curing temperature, and in Colorado it is usually the overnight low that decides whether a day works.
